Anthony J. Tarantino

Anthony “Tony” J. Tarantino, 62, of New Port Richey, FL and formerly of Southington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Tony was born on August 20, 1959 in Southington to the late John and Josephine (Mancini) Tarantino. He had been a longtime Southington resident before moving to FL to enjoy his retirement. Tony loved the beach, road trips, corvettes and Harley rides. He enjoyed working with his hands and having a good time with his family and friends. Most of all, Tony was a loving father and proud Papa.

Tony is survived by his daughter Jessica Fuegen and her husband Brian of Wolcott and his 3 cherished grandchildren, Alex Tarantino and Devin and Emily Fuegen. He is also survived by his siblings; Joanna Sotkovsky of FL, John Tarantino and his wife Maria of Southington, Irene Tarantino of WA, Kathryn Farr of Torrington, Anna Donna and her husband James, Josephine Amadore and her husband Joseph and Michael Tarantino, all of Bristol, his former wife, Laura Boggio of Mystic and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 2 siblings, Conjetta Chretien and Joey Tarantino and his nephew, Louis Blanchette.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
