Anthony E. Kupcho, Jr.

Anthony E. Kupcho, Jr., 75, of Southington, passed away on January 11, 2025 at the Jerome Home in New Britain. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Buczak) Kupcho for over 53 years.

Born on March 30, 1949 in Southington to the late Anthony E. Sr. and Ann (Sokolowski) Kupcho, he had been a lifelong Southington resident. 

Anthony retired from Ideal Forging after 37 years of service. He was a jack of all trades and could rig up anything that wasn’t working right. He loved fishing, gardening, hiking and weekly shopping trips with his daughter. He also enjoyed watching sports and was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox, UCONN Women’s basketball and SHS girls’ softball team. Tony held a special place in his heart for all his grand-dogs and cats. He was a longtime parishioner at St. Thomas Church in Southington. 

In addition to his wife Nancy, Tony is survived by his son, Chris Kupcho and daughter, Rhonda Pintek and her husband Jason, both of Southington and 4 grandchildren, David and Justin Kupcho and Emma and Joshua Pintek. He is also survived by two sisters, Joann Trenary of New York and Judy Stofko and her husband Joe of Waterbury and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Bill Trenary. 

Anthony’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Jerome Home including Rachel, Yahaira, Natasha and Iris for their care and compassion.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
