Anthony P. "Buddy" Faryniarz Jr., beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully Tuesday night, March 31, 2015, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain after a short illness.
Born in Southington, CT on January 25, 1929 he was a lifelong resident of Southington. He was predeceased by his parents, Antoni and Sophie (Regula) Faryniarz.
One of twelve brothers and sisters, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Stanley Faryniarz, Joseph Faryniarz and Frank Farymore and his sisters, Theresa Faryniarz, Pauline Prokop, Jenny Rotundo, Esther Gill, Mary Kogut, & Julia Sklarsky. There are two remaining sisters, Ann McSwain of Louisiana and Frances Kaczycinski of Bristol.
On June 6, 1953, he married Regina (Chilczewska) Faryniarz and they had six children: Barbara Faryniarz Dupuis and her husband Michael, Kathy Faryniarz Doty and her husband Paul, Tony Faryniarz III, Diane Faryniarz, Paul Faryniarz & Laurie Regina Faryniarz. He was predeceased by his son, Tony and his daughter Laurie Regina. In addition, he has one grandson, Jason Wright of Southington and a beautiful great grand- daughter Norah Eve. He also leaves behind many nieces & nephews.
He ran "Buds Dairy" for many years and then converted it into a horse boarding and riding facility called Pleasant View Stables. He also worked several years for the Town of Southington, Housing Department.
Buddy was active in his church and community. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and served on the Board of the Polish National Alliance. He also served on horse club boards and rode in Southington parades.
Buddy was well liked by everyone and always had time to tell a story, a joke or find something to laugh about. He was also quick to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. His wife and family will miss him dearly.
Calling hours will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am, on Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Southington.
