Anne M. "Nancy" Walter

Anne Marie “Nancy” (Keating) Walter, 91, of Southington, passed away into God’s hands on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the HOCC at New Britain General.

Born in Waterbury on March 27, 1932 to the late John “Jack” and Beatrice (Daly) Keating, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Anne graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School in 1950 and went on to earn her Nursing Degree from Saint Francis Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 45 years at Undercliff Sanatorium in Meriden and Cedercrest Hospital in Newington. She was a longtime parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church in Southington.  

Anne is survived by 3 sons and their significant others, Dale and Lesa, Mike and Beth and Steven and 5 grandchildren: Dale Jr., Brian, Joseph, Erin (Max) and Katie and husband Dan and soon to be great-granddaughter, Millie Ann. Anne was loved by many friends who called her “Ma” due to her caring nature and friendship for all. May our matriarch rest in peace and may God bless her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
