Ann Mary Knell

Ann Mary (Bagnaschi) Knell, 84, of Meriden, CT entered into eternal peace after a long journey with Alzheimer’s Disease on December 10th. She was the beloved wife of the late Clinton G. Knell for 49 years.

Born on September 26, 1939 to the late Ettore and Marianna (Ollari) Bagnaschi, Ann was a lifelong Meriden resident and faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Among several bookkeeping hats, her pride was managing Knell’s Carpet Service alongside Clint and Gary for many years. The center of her universe was family, friends, faith…and, of course, a good bowl of homemade ravioli.

Ann is survived by 3 children: Cindy Simone (Greg), Clinton “Gary” Knell (Mary Ellen) and Crystal Sullivan (Ken); 3 grandchildren: Danielle, Kimberly and Shannon and 2 great-grandchildren, Eva and Grant. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Gilman (dec. Larry), brother-in-law, Chet Knell (Nancy) and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her husband Clinton, she was predeceased by her grandson, Matthew, her brother, Edward Bagnaschi (Phyllis), sister-in-law, Jane Pevich (Ed) and her dearest friend, Josie Otlowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Ave., Meriden. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden. Calling hours will be held before the service from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville.
