Alice M. Stancavage

Alice M. (Sager) Stancavage, 84, of the Plantsville section of Southington died peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday June 3, 2012 at the Summit of Plantsville. She had been the loving wife of the late Joseph S. Stancavage for over 50 years.

Born Dec. 24, 1927 in Nanticoke, PA to the late Mary (Schod) and GeorgeSager, she had been a longtime Plantsville resident.

Alice was a longtime parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church and member of the Immaculata Women's Club. She enjoyed polka dancing, duckpin bowling and breakfast with her friends at McDonalds.

She is survived by her son Joseph J. Stancavage and his wife Claudia of Southington, her daughter Theresa Esposito and her husband Victor of Prescott, AZ; 3 grandsons: Eric, Brian and Scott; 2 granddaughters: Erin and Michelle; 3 great-grandsons: Travis, Dillon, and Logan; 3 great-granddaughters: Brittany, Lorelei and Madison; 2 sisters: Doris Kacillas of Nanticoke, PA and Carol Donnelly of Wilkes-Barre, PA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 6, 2012 at 9:30am from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington.
