Alice E. Haskell

Alice E. (Nash) Haskell, 73, of Cheshire passed away peacefully on Sunday June 23, 2013 at the Mid-State Medical Center after a 7- year battle with scleroderma. She was the loving wife of Robert Haskell for 55 years.

Born in Torrington on August 17, 1939 to the late Charles and Evelyn (Sager) Nash, she had been a longtime Cheshire resident.

Alice grew up in Southington, CT. She retired from Oliver Wolcott Technical High School, Torrington after teaching for 23 years. She was a loyal and active parishioner at Christ Community Church in Cheshire for over 40 years. Alice will be remembered for her great love and devotion she had for her family, her church and her love of music.

In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by her children: Tammy Daigneault and her husband Al of Voluntown, Jeffrey Haskell and his wife Rhonda; Kim Haskell and Sandra Field and her husband Richard, all of Cheshire; Rick Linehan of East Sandwich, MA and Paul Linehan and his wife Karen of Pawcatuck; 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Nash.

A funeral service will be held on Friday June 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 120 Main St., Cheshire 06410. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 27, 2013 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
