Albis K. Taylor, 91, of Southington passed away at home on Sunday, March 27, 2011. She was born in Montpelier, VT on March 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Giacomo Pacini and the late Florence (Abbieti) Pacini. She lived most of her life in Southington.

Besides raising her son and daughter, Albis also took care of many foster children and babies. Albis will be missed for the baked goods, especially her apple pie, that she made for her family, friends, and neighbors. Albis was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by and will be missed dearly by her daughter Margaret Newman and her husband Arthur of Arizona, her son Robert Taylor and his wife Lynn of Southington, her sister Emelia Lanier of Massachusetts, her sister Lola Berno of Vermont, her sister Theresa Frascoia of Florida, her brother Joseph Pacini of Vermont, 6 grandchildren: Lisa Padula, Roxanne Boyer, Greg Newman, Chris Newman, Russell Newman, all of Arizona, Michelle Taylor of Southington, and 13 great-grandchildren. She also will be missed by her friends, especially her long time neighbor and friend Pat Burgess. Albis was predeceased by her husband Leonard Taylor, her brother Augustine Pacini, her sister Mary Reno, and her sister Josephine Howe.
