Albert Arnott Wellington

Albert Arnott Wellington, 83, of Birchcrest Dr., Southington died Wed. October 14, 2009 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley Memorial, Southington. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Hamilton)Wellington for 62 years.

Born December 26, 1925 in Davidson, Maine to the late George W. and Albina (Farren) Wellington he had lived in Southington since 1953.

Mr. Wellington served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and retired from Whittnon Spindle, Farmington.

In addition to his wife Joan he is survived by his son Stephen Wellington and his wife, Janet of Southington; three daughters: Beverly Hoyt and her husband Al of Southington, Anita Furrow and her husband Norman of Plantsville and Aline Standish of Southington; seven grandchildren: Michelle and Albert Furrow, Joey Standish, Jay Standish and his wife Sakura, Matt DeLilla, Kyle Wellington and Brian Wellington and his wife Kate; and two great-grandchildren, Breanna and Brandon Riollano. He was pre-deceased by his son, Albert Wellington.

A graveside service will be held Saturday October 17, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington.
